Barbizon Midwest Lends a Helping Hand at the Illinois Special Olympics!

Barbizon Midwest is continuing their fun summer this weekend at the Illinois Special Olympics, where they will be volunteering for the Family Festival, following their work with the Gold Medal Fashion Show Extravaganza!  The mission of the Special Olympics, according to their website, is "to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities..."  Barbizon's Family Festival volunteers will be helping on Saturday, June 23 with a day of fun, food, family and friends!  There will be games, crafts, music, dancing and lunch as the coaches, athletes and their families all get to know each other and have some fun with a break from competing in events.  There were also more volunteers who helped with the Gold Medal Fashion Show Extravaganza in April, where the athletes get a chance to be models for a day!

At the annual fashion show, Barbizon coaches teach the participants how to walk and turn on the catwalk, and the models love the professional advice and getting to wear great new outfits!  The Special Olympics is exciting and memorable not only for the athletes, but also for the great volunteers coming from Barbizon Midwest.  Barbizon's admirable volunteers are sure to have a weekend filled with fun, success and community!

Barbizon Midwest's Hope Hite is a Hit at Her Indiana Commercial and Photo Shoot!

Barbizon Midwest's Hope Hite is fresh out of Indiana and ready to take on the world!  This confident, talented young model and actress just wrapped a photo and commercial shoot for the Indianapolis Children's Museum, where she was a hit with everyone working!  Her photos will be a feature in the spring issue of Indianapolis Monthly.  The visitor's bureau would also like to use some of the footage for the commercial in some of their ads!  Here's the page from the Indianapolis Monthly featuring Hope!

Hope was such a hit at her shoot that she started it as a family shoot and, by the end, the director made a special segment only starring Hope!  Her mom credits Hope's great professionalism on the set as the product of working with Barbizon, saying Barbizon gave her "the tools to give her confidence and ease in having a successful first experience" on set.  With talent and experience as great as Hope's, there's no telling how many awesome projects this star will do next!

Barbizon Midwest's Patrick Thompson is Driving Down the Road to Success!

Barbizon Midwest's Patrick Thompson is quickly becoming an industry hit!  This young actor's most recent project, a Kia car commercial, has everyone buzzing about his talent!  Patrick was featured in the commercial as the driver of a Kia Rio, where he is shown zooming through a city and enjoying the great new car.  Along with his role in the commercial, some of Patrick's other work includes advertisements for Target, Sony, Paul Mitchell and Samsung, magazine work for British Vogue and German GQ, a runway show in Paris for Louis Vuitton and numerous other commercials, music videos and short films, some of which have earned him award nominations!

Barbizon Midwest Hits the Fox News Airwaves Again!

Barbizon Midwest's models are quickly becoming favorites at Fox News, Milwaukee!  In a live broadcast on May 24, Megan Reisner and Vanessa Juarez were part of the fashion segment highlighting great ways to dress after graduation in order to score a new job.  They got to meet the anchors on-set as they modeled smart, professional clothes guaranteed to be a hit at any job interview!  Once again, Barbizon's talented models earned praise for their great work and high level of professionalism on set and in the segment.
